Liquor App _ Online Delivery Liquor Dehli & Other States
If you buy liquor from a government vend in Delhi, you can now book and pay in advance with the Delhi Liquor Booking app by DSIIDC Ltd. You pick your brand, pick a DSIIDC store, pay online, and get a QR code. Then you walk into that store within 48 hours, staff scan the code, and you collect your order. No standing at the billing counter while a crowd builds behind you.
This site is a plain-English guide to how the app works, what the rules are, and which stores it actually covers. If you want the app itself, the download page points you to the official Google Play listing and shows you how to spot fake copies.

What the app is
Delhi sells liquor through government vends run by four corporations: DSIIDC, DTTDC, DSCSC and DCCWS. Together they run 700+ vends across the city. The Delhi Liquor Booking app covers only one of the four. It works at DSIIDC's 208 outlets, and that is it for now.
Inside the app you can browse the brands available at a store and check stock before you travel. That one feature saves a lot of wasted trips. Anyone who has crossed the city for a bottle that sold out that morning knows the feeling.
The app has been in the news again on October 27 and 28, 2026, because officials shared fresh numbers and talked about wider rollout. Permission for the app was granted back in 2024. It launched after trials in late 2025. On September 6 a QR-code micro-site was added so iPhone users can book too, since the app itself is Android-only.
How booking works, step by step
- Download the app from Google Play and open it.
- Sign up by agreeing to the statutory warning and entering your mobile number.
- Browse brands available at a store and check the stock.
- Pick a DSIIDC store you can actually reach within two days.
- Choose the bottle size and quantity.
- Pay online inside the app.
- You get a QR code for your order.
- Visit the chosen store within 48 hours.
- Staff scan your QR code at the store.
- Collect your order and you are done.
Our full step-by-step booking guide walks through each stage slowly, and covers what to do if the QR code never arrives, you picked the wrong store, or you miss the pickup window.
The rules you need to know
You must be 25 or older. That is Delhi's legal drinking age, and the sign-up starts with a statutory warning for a reason. You can buy up to 9 litres of whisky and 18 litres of beer per person. Your paid order waits at your chosen store for 48 hours, and you collect it in person.
Changed your mind? You can cancel before you collect. Once you have collected the order, returns are not accepted, so check your bottles at the counter before you leave. The rules page on age limits, quantities and pickup explains each rule in detail.
Which stores are on the app
Only DSIIDC outlets. If your nearest vend belongs to DTTDC, DSCSC or DCCWS, it will not show up in the app, even if it is two minutes from your home. Delhi has 700+ government vends in total, and 208 of them are DSIIDC's.
This catches people out. They open the app, search for their usual store, and assume the app is broken when it does not appear. The store is fine. It just belongs to a different corporation. We explain the split, and how iPhone users book through the QR micro-site, in our guide to home delivery and which stores are covered.
Why the app launched
Officials gave a few clear reasons. Queues at popular vends get long, and billing counters take the pressure. Booking ahead means shorter queues and calmer counters. Prices and billing stay transparent because you see the total before you pay. You can check stock before you travel instead of guessing. And pre-booking cuts down on brand pushing at the counter, where staff steer you toward whatever they want to move that day.
Uptake so far has been modest, and officials said so openly on October 28, 2026. The app recorded about 3,629 transactions worth roughly Rs 13 lakh in FY 2025-26. So far this financial year it is about 10,730 transactions worth roughly Rs 30 lakh. Whether the other three corporations join depends on the response to this rollout, officials said.
Watch out for fake apps
A trending government app always attracts copies. Search results and forwarded links can point you to lookalike apps that want your money or your data. The real one is simple to check. On Google Play, the developer name must read DSIIDC Ltd. and the package is com.dsiidc.sod.
If a listing shows a different developer, ads everywhere, or asks you to pay to download, close it. The real app is free and has no ads. Start from our download page, which links only to the verified official listing.
Questions people ask
Is there home delivery?
No. The app is booking and payment only. You collect your order yourself from the store you picked, within 48 hours of paying.
Can I use the app at any government liquor vend in Delhi?
No. It works only at DSIIDC's 208 outlets. Vends run by DTTDC, DSCSC and DCCWS are not on the app yet.
What age do I need to be?
25 or older. That is the legal drinking age in Delhi.
How much can I buy?
Up to 9 litres of whisky and 18 litres of beer per person.
What if I cannot reach the store in time?
Your pickup window is 48 hours from payment. You can cancel before collection if your plans change. Book only when you know you can get there.
I have an iPhone. Can I book?
Yes. A QR-code micro-site was added on September 6 for iPhone users, so you can book without the Android app.
A last word
The app does one job and does it in a sensible order: check stock, book, pay, show your QR code, collect. If your regular vend is a DSIIDC store, it can save you a queue and a wasted trip. If it is not, at least you now know why it is missing from the list. You must be 25 or older to use it, and please drink responsibly.
